A blood donation matching platform connecting willing donors with patients in critical need across the Philippines.

Description
Every day in the Philippines, people needing blood transfusions turn to Facebook, posting urgent pleas that are inefficient, unsafe, and unreliable.
For a bootstrapped social impact startup, the challenge was creating a brand that hospitals trust, investors take seriously, and everyday Filipinos feel comfortable using during their most vulnerable moments.

Through discovery workshops and extensive stakeholder interviews with medical technologists, doctors, hospital administrators, donors, and recipients, we positioned Kindred By Blood as clean, trustworthy, modern civic tech rather than typical healthcare. The brand balances professional credibility for institutional partnerships, approachable accessibility for public adoption, and urgency without alarm for life-saving situations.
The Kindred By Blood logo uses blood drops forming network asterisk, symbolizing kinship and outward movement. No competitor has this ownable, unique healthcare symbol. Color system balances urgency with professionalism.
Since launching, the platform has over 200 beta registrations, and about 35 people connected with donors. The founders still receive direct messages seeking help, validating ongoing need. The professional branding transformed a bootstrapped project into an investable platform, opening doors to hospital networks and investor conversations.
